Duchenne is a sever type of Muscular Dystrophy that affects young boys. Often by the age 4-5, once the symptoms of muscular weakness begin, it worsens quickly with muscle loss in upper legs, pelvis and upper arms resulting in trouble standing up by the age of twelve. DART (Dystrophy Annihilation Research Trust) based in Bangalore works on creating awareness among people about Muscular Dystrophy while also enabling research to find possible cure for Dystrophy. These creatives were made for their campaign on the Duchenne Awareness Day on 7th September.
The logo of Duchenne Awareness Day is the Worldwide Duchenne Awareness logo (not designed by me). The rest of the graphics were designed by me to keep with the style and colour scheme of the logo while expressing what Duchenne Awareness is about. A red balloon signifies Duchenne Awareness. The illustration symbolically shows how Awareness can empower/help young boys affected with Duchenne.
The text composed as background is the actual Duchenne Manifesto. A poster for DART's Awareness campaign.
